Our very first lesson for the fiddle. Angeline the Baker is a favorite amongst old-timey and bluegrass players alike. At festivals you'll probably hear this tune being played by little kids as you walk past their campsite and then by Chris Thile or some other maestro when you get to the stage. It's a great place for us to start because it's basic enough for beginners to play, but cool enough that you'll be jamming on it once you become a master. In this lesson, we focus on using open strings as drones that can help drive the tune. Keep on fiddlin!

Hey mike, I have a very slow connection…living in the hills…..is there anyway, i can download these? Otherwise, I have to wait, and then the connection breaks and then I wait some more..sometimes takes a whole hour to get one lesson. I will sign whatever to never give to anyone blah, blah….anyways, help an old guy out

Hi Mike, I have juststarted having problems with downloading lessons for the past 2-3 weeks and have had to give up as I don’t know what else to do. Hope the problem is sorted soon. It has always been fine until now. Have just purchased faster broadband to see if that helps.
