Hey everyone!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I've got a whole bunch of new stuff for you this week. I've updated the fiddle lesson library with a great old time fiddle tune, Leather Britches! Originally from Ireland, this tune is named Leather Britches because the string crossings done by the bow arm look a lot like the arm movements made by a tailor sowing leather britches. Needless to say, there are a lot of string crossings, which makes this a really fun tune to perform.

I've also added new fiddle sheet music to the special request sheet music area. I've added John Henry, a really rockin appalachian old time tune in AEAE cross-tuning, and John Hardy, a classic bluegrass song. In response to a special request I've also added a new video lesson to the STORE -- the fiddle solo from the country song "If I Die Young" by The Band Perry. I've played with a ton of country bands from Arizona to Nashville, so if any of you are trying play in a country band and want to learn a solo or intro, just let me know. Special Request sheet music and lessons are $5 for Silver Members, and only $3 for Gold Members. Yet another reason to sign up for a Gold Membership!

If you're a Silver Member and are ready to start your weekly lessons, upgrade to a Gold Membership so you can receive weekly lesson updates, download sheet music, and watch all the lesson videos as many times as you want for only $10/month.

Have fun with Leather Britches, John Henry, John Hardy, and If I Die Young!

Mike
