Peacock Rag is a tune by the great fiddler Arthur Smith, who also wrote Blackberry Blossom. I played this tune with my dad after the first annual Rolland Fiddle Camp in Westcliffe, Colorado (see peterrolland.com to learn more about next year's camp). My dad is an expert on old time fiddling and a master fiddle historian, so I decided to teach you his interpretation of this old classic. Pay attention to the stylistic information, specifically playing slides. I also give a couple of good tips on chord progressions and playing double stops, so watch out for that!
