In this first lesson of our Position One series I go over the major chord, scale, and arpeggio you will be working out of in this position. The chord in this position is the same as that of the power G chord that many of you learned early on in your guitar pickin career. Just remember that you can play any of the licks in this position in any other key simply by moving your hand up the neck so that the tonic note in the chord form (the lowest note in the chord in this case) is on the note of the key you want to play in. Such a simply system, and so fun! Once you've mastered the chord, scale, and arpeggio, move on to Lick #1. Enjoy!
