This week's fiddle lesson features Mississippi Sawyer. Not only do you learn this great old time tune but I go in depth in my explanation of the shuffle stroke. The basic shuffle stroke is one of the first "fiddle" bowings that players learn, and as you become an advanced player you'll find that this basic shuffle stroke appears in different forms in almost every Appalachian Old Time tune. The shuffle bowing is infectious, so be careful. Once you learn it you'll drive you family nuts by running around the house playing the shuffle!
