Uncle Pen is an iconic bluegrass song that Bill Monroe wrote about his own uncle, who Monroe says used to play all the local square dances when he was a kid. The fiddle part to this song is a must-learn for all you aspiring bluegrass fiddlers. It's in the key of A, has two sections, and has lots of drones. Check out the video below of vintage Bill Monroe in the 1950's to listen to the tune.

Right now only the sheet music is available in Lessons --> Store --> Sheet Music & TAB --> Fiddle Sheet Music. You can download it there for $5 ($3 for Gold Members), and you'll get standard notation, TAB, and an audio file. Enjoy!
